Now that my Monday thing is going to be this Vlog/Blog link, here is what I have vlogged about this week;Unwrapping my bloggers SecretSanta Gift
Twitter is an amazing tool for bloggers
I have technically had this blog for a couple of years, but never really took it very seriously; it was more a place to store an online tick off chart for my Bucket List than anything else. While off work in September, I decided to get back into the whole Blogger thing, this involved spending a lot more time on Twitter. This is how I have met some amazing people, and also, how I got involved in the Bloggers Secret Santa.
As previously mentioned in one of my Ponderings, I have been stung by a ‘Secret Santa’ before, but this year I am all above the giving and not the getting, so as long as my recipient is happy, that was all I really needed to worry about. I have since seen the post about her gifts, and she seems to like them, so all good as far as that goes!
So what did you get Polly?
Lot’s of nice things! Whoever my anonymous Secret Santa was had obviously done their research as my presents were perfect.
If you watch the vlog you will be able to see them all – but the best by far was an A4 book designed to write Japanese in. I am going to consider this a divine sign, as I am actually in the process of writing some Japanese poetry and this is basically the perfect place for me to collect it all together. Although, now I need to decide if I want to keep the book for a best, final write up, or if I practice in it too. I always start notebooks with the best intentions and hand writing, but it often gets untidy as I progress – something to work on there
In the vlog I suggest that the planner that I also receive can be used to help us plan as a family, I have since remembered that I have bought myself a large family calendar that can be used for this purpose, so I have reclaimed it to be used as a blog planner. This is perfect for blogging as there is space for a vision board, lots room for notes, and as I fully intend to take my writing more seriously.
Have you been involved in any secret gift giving this Christmas?
Did you like what you got?
Would you want to know who your ‘Santa’ was, or would you rather it be kept a secret?
